At the moment, the band is going from strength to strength, under the leadership of Alison Foot. The band plays at many engagements across Kent, on bandstands on the coast, in churches around North Kent, at summer fetes, or at our "home" in the UK Paper Clubhouse. We have played many concerts for charity, one in particular for the Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, raised over £800, and the Kent Goldilocks Family Association.
In every concert, we play a balanced programme containing varied music to suit everyone's tastes. Our repertoire contains traditional marches, and selections from popular musicals, but it also contains popular songs and some more unusual pieces as well - we provide a programme to entertain everyone!
We always welcome new players! We are not a contesting band which means we can make music and also enjoy ourselves at the same time! If you play a brass instrument (cornet, tenor horn, euphonium, baritone, trombone, bass) then we would love to hear from you! At the moment, we would particularly welcome new players who play cornet, trombone or bass. But anyone who plays a brass band instrument is more than welcome!
We rehearse on a Wednesday evening at the UK Paper Clubhouse, Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, Kent from 19.30 to 21.30
